Frugal Fall Sensory Bin
If you are looking for a frugal fall craft for kids, this frugal fall sensory bin is a must. Making your own frugal fall sensory bin is easy, and most of the items you need can be found at your local dollar store. Here is how you can get busy crafting your own, just in time for fall!
Supplies needed:
Small metal pot (Dollar Tree)
Dried rice
Silk leaves
Fall colored buttons
Acorns
Other fall items from nature such as rocks, leaves, twigs, mini pumpkins
Other manipulatives such as spoons, scoops
Directions:
1. Begin by filling your pot with dried rice. You want to fill it about half way so you have room for your other additions.
2. Add the other objects to the rice. Set them on top, bury them, and leave some pieces out on the side.
3. Lay a towel down under the sensory bin before use. This will make clean up easier.
You are all ready to get started. Your child will love digging for items, burying them, scooping the sand, pouring it, and playing with it. It is a great way for them to use their fine motor skills, and get into all things fall at the same time. Give it a try!
