Homemade Valentine’s Day Playdough

Stephy Rose

I like when we are able to add sensory Playdough to our holidays. This homemade Valentine’s Day playdough is easy to make and is loads of sensory fun.  Whip up several batches in no time and you’ll have hours of fun.

5. Turn your burner on your stove to medium and cook for 2-3 minutes while stirring constantly with a spatula, you’ll want to scrape the pot while your stirring to make sure your play dough doesn’t burn
6. Your mix will start off as a thick batter, get clumpy, very clumpy, then turn in a ball of playdough
7. Place on a peice of parchment paper to cool
8. Repeat steps 3-7 to do other colors
**
Your playdough will last quite a while, months if kept stored in airtight plastic bags or airtight containers

Playdough is a great way to help your kids de-stress after a long day at school. It’s great for anxiety too. Add a couple drops of Essential Oils into it after it cools if you’d like. It’s a great way to add a little extra omph to de-stressing.
